What is One School One Book?

Welcome to One School One Book

York Suburban High School would like to announce its first One School One Book program.  This exciting event invites students, staff, parents, and community members to read the same book at the same time creating a common conversation.  This program strives to promote reading for enjoyment, as well as foster community.

The book we have chosen, The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch, is based on an actual lecture given at Carnegie Mellon University.  Pausch, recently diagnosed with terminal cancer and asked to speak, did not talk about dying.  His speech shared the importance of overcoming the obstacles we all face in life, enabling the dreams of others, and seizing every moment.

Join our conversation as we talk about living.  What wisdom do you have to impart to others?  What will be your legacy?

Books are available in the High School Library in both print and electronic versions! OR read it online
